The 7th birthday party of Xiang Xiang was held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Tokyo on the 12th.
The birthday party was jointly organized by the China Tourism Office in Tokyo, the China Tourism Office in Osaka, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Air China and Sichuan Airlines. Nearly 200 Xiang Xiang fans and giant panda lovers gathered to wish Xiang Xiang a happy birthday.
At the event, people had the chance to write down birthday wishes on the cards for Xiang Xiang. Luo Yuquan, director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Tokyo, said in his speech that he appreciated the Japanese people’s love for pandas and hoped that more Japanese people could go to Sichuan to start a reunion with Xiang Xiang, enjoy the rich cultural and tourism resources in China, and feel the real China in all dimensions.
