Japan’s Ueno Zoo has decided to officially separate twin giant pandas “Lei Lei” and “Xiao Xiao” from April 16th. “Xiao Xiao” and “Lei Lei” will be three years old in June this year, and both weigh more than 70 kilograms. As they get older, they start to play together a little more aggressively, so the zoo is taking the move to prevent them from getting hurt while playing. Since their birth, they have been loved by the Japanese people, which can create more than 30 billion yen a year of economic benefits.
After being separated, Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei live in two separate color-coded fields. The outer field will be made public after the fortifications are completed.
