A limited edition of 1,000 sets of “Xiang Xiang at Bifengxia” postcards, specially designed to celebrate Xiang Xiang ‘s 7th birthday, are now officially available. This postcard set depicts Xiang Xiang ‘s new life in Bifengxia, and the 12 cards are full of her loveliness and charm.
The postcards were designed by Dr. Qin Chuan, the designer of the popular photo book “The Giant Panda Friends”. He is currently working for Sichuan Fine Arts Publishing House, and was so taken by Xiang Xiang’s cuteness that he decided to participate in the design of the postcard set.
The postcards are made of paper imported from Italy, which is made from 30% cotton pulp and 65% nearly chlorine-free bleached pulp, and weighs 300 grams. It has a coarse texture and cotton feel, giving it plenty of natural feel. In addition, this paper absorbs ink well, and more ink can be used when printing, resulting in more vibrant colors. Letterpress is used as the printing technique, and the rich colors, clear irregularities, and classic textures are beautifully rendered on the “Wild” paper. The most important thing about these postcards is that they allow us to see Xiang Xiang’s adorable moments, easing our loneliness and giving us a greater sense of happiness.
